Well, there would be an allergic or foreign body reaction at the site of injection. Sort of like getting a splinter.

What you are really thinking of is this: since there is all this cloning and cell manipulation and so forth going on in science, what would happen if they replaced the dna in a woman's egg with the dna from a male's sperm and then fertilized the egg with another sperm? The answer is that the egg would begin dividing, the process would go on for a little bit and then the whole thing would fall apart and die. And if they put a woman's dna in a male's sperm and fertilized the egg, the process would proceed farther but end up failing and dying also. They've tried it, and that's what happens.

Your immune system would respond to the DNA as it would to any invader - latching on and breaking it down. Even if it didn't, though, your cells wouldn't absorb it. Animal cells don't like to take in foreign DNA, and it's hard to get them to integrate that DNA into their own. It's partially because all cells must be coordinated with each other, and partially as a defense against viruses.

Absolutely nothing apart from the host body breaking the donor DNA down

Whose DNA did you have in mind? I think I would pick Uma Thurman.

Injecting raw DNA into your bloodstream would be a bad idea. If you're a transsexual, you need to get on hormones... that will do what you want... mostly. If you just want to look like a woman, call Micheal Jackson and ask what he did...

Nothing. If a man gets a blood transplant from a woman, he gets some of her DNA. He's just fine.
