I'm to scared to ask my mom if i can shave my legs what should i do?i need help!?

I couldn't stand my mother. She never taught me how to be a proper woman and I had to figure it out on my own. She said that I should NEVER shave my legs because the hair will grow back faster. But she NEVER gave me an alternative. So what did I do? I started shaving my legs and I got into trouble for it. But she never told me -- even THEN -- what else I should do to remove it.

Anyway, I wax now and if you're at that age where you need to start removing hair, you should start waxing from the start. By the time you are in your late teens and your friends are frantically shaving every few days, you will be like, "Ha, I just have to wax myself once a month." Or once every 6 weeks...

SERIOUSLY though... start waxing (or even laser removal, but waxing would be more cost efficient at the time) and talk to your mother about it. Hopefully she won't be as frustrating as my mother was.

I agree with the other poster that said, if you are afraid to ask, you may be too young. How old are you and why are you in such a hurry? Remember once you start you have to keep it up. Be a kid as long as you can. Now is the time to have no responsibilities, the rest will come soon enough. And yes, it maybe your body, but right now you are a kid, your parents take care of you, you are not on your own and all kids need guidance.
If your mom is not available to you for whatever reason, talk to an aunt, a friend's mom ect...

First of all.. how old are you? Second of all.. here's how I approached it. My mom refused to let me shave my legs. Then I got my period when I was a young age of 10. I told my mom to the effect of, "Mom, since I'm officially a woman, don't you think it'd be ok to shave my legs?". It worked. So if you've already gotten your period, try that one. Good luck hairy lady.

Talk to your mom and explain that you're uncomfortable not being able to shave your legs. You don't mention your age, so if you're very young you may have problems convincing her. Other than that, I can't imagine why she'd mind if you started shaving your legs.

well what i did to ask my mom is i slipped her a note asking when i could shave my legs and a few days later i found some razor blades in my bathroom. so just write a little note saying "when can i shave?!"

Well it sounds like you're still pretty young so If i were you I would bring it up in a casual discussion. Make sure to press your points on why you need to shave your legs. (For example... It makes you insecure about wearing shorts) If she doesn't let you I can't help you hun. Your parent is the decisive vote on this one and sadly enough I can't sway it.

It is okay for you to go ask her. I mean if she has a problem with it try asking her about lotions. Nair hair lotion for the leg is one. I tried asking her. She did get mad. But this time I'll ask for lotion. Shaving the legs is hard for ages 10 -11.

Just shave them chubaka...she's not going to get mad at you for that.It's your body. Everybody shaves. This must be your first time. If your scared ask your mom then. Tell her that you want to shave your legs. I just play dumb like..."mom when you were my age..did you shave your legs...can I shave mine?"
I didnt ask permission from my mom the first time. My sister shaved it off for me...hahahaha and she didn't get mad at me at all. I ran and told her look mom i shaved my legs...she gave me like look like WTF! but then she was like okay with it. I felt like I should have asked her first. But she didn't make a fuss out of it.

there are other ways of hair removal. just ask yr mom if she minds if you wax or use some other form rather than shave
