Iraq is an emerging theocracy, not a democracy.
You can see this by reading their constitution.
For example:
Section 1: Fundamental Principles
Article 2:
First: Islam is the official religion of the State and it is a fundamental source of legislation:
A. No law that contradicts the established provisions of Islam may be established.
B. No law that contradicts the principles of democracy may be established.
_____________
B is logically NEGATED by A. A is logically negated by B.
They can't have a democracy by definition because only Islam can be the source of the law. It is a totally delusional democratic process.
You can't have both Allah and Iraqi citizens making the law. There is already a constitutional conflict built into their constitution.

There's an old 1970s Country song by Anderson Lynn called Rose Garden:
I beg your pardon,
I never promised you a rose garden.
Along with the sunshine,
There's gotta be a little rain sometimes.
When you take, you gotta give, so live and let live,
Or let go.
I beg your pardon,
I never promised you a rose garden.

No one ever promised nations that converted from a tyrannical government to Democracy that all their problems would instantly be cured. Democracy is a messy endeavor. Democracy is millions of voices all clamoring to be heard at the same time.
The Middle East has the only kind of democracy it can create at this time. Democracy evolves. Just like an infant cries, has temper tantrums, and lashes out at a world he does not understand, the fledgling democracies of the Middle East are going to behave badly sometimes.
It's all part of the growing up process...

Iraq doesn't have a democracy, and if you noticed, they are kind of killing everyone over there! No one knows what they will end up with both Rice and Bush have now changed their reason for invading Iraq to "give Iraq A CHANCE of becoming a democracy"!
That is funny if you consider that we put Saddam in power!!!

No Putin was not correct. What is wrong with you people. Putin is good. His people get all their news from their government controlled newspaper. Bet the Internet is just booming over there, and they have rights like you wouldn't believe. Yeah....he's one hell of a guy. He has put all this in place since he was elected. People want to whine in the US, go visit uncle Vladamir....he'll have a spot for ya.

This is all about oil/resources, and the only reason (as usual), that the United States poked our head into this county.
Of course we will not be happy until we have our new puppets running the country over thier also.
Putin .. Im thinking he is remembering what a superpower the USSR was until we screwed up thier country with Democracy.

As Bush answered, wait.
I still think that what they have now is better than what they had under Saddam, and it will only get better as time goes on.
