I'm 42 and I have them. They're a lot of fun, aren't they. To me, I see it as being able to control my dreams. Meaning that I like to be in control of my environment no matter where I am.

Who knows?
Did you know that every single thing you've ever seen, done, smelt, tasted, touched, heard and the like, is stored in the recess of the subconscious mind?
There's such a profound boundary between the subconscious mind and the conscious mind, when you're awake, and we're distracted by so much, we've forgotten, I believe, how to listen to the silent part of us that may be speaking.
But sleep offers that time when the subconscious mind has our full attention, and then it tells us things. If you've had this dream, over and over, it's usually because there's an issue there yet settled with your self.
Reoccurring dreams happen because there's something the subconscious mind has not settled with the conscious mind. This is an actual recognized fact by physcology (sp?), so you might want to investigate the thing further. :)

Possibly that you're a lucid dreamer -- someone who can exert a certain amount of conscious control over the events in dreams. Many lucid dreamers can do some pretty cool stuff in their dreams; flight and telekinesis are common. I've managed invisibility. And a woman I used to date once turned a monster that was pursuing her into something harmless.
I suggest that you experiment with this. The next time you become aware that you're dreaming, try to alter events more to your liking. Maybe attempt flight, or change the scenery to a place that you like better (this is _hard_; I've only managed it twice). Word of warning; if you interfere too much in the course of the dream you might wake yourself up. Also, dreams are sometimes your subconscious mind's way of getting a message to you. Interfering in the course of this kind of dream is the equivalent of putting your fingers in your ears and going "la, la, la" while someone is trying to give you the solution to a pressing problem.
Let me know how it turns out!

Chronic dreams are a fascinating subject. There are several possibilities. First you need to consider how you felt in these dreams. Did you feel empowered? You may have a fixation on this feeling. Empowerment, control, do either of these fit the feeling? Do you mostly have these dreams after something successful for you?

This is a good explanation and history as described by wikipedia. There is a good set of examples. Check out the part about understanding dreams for some good theories about them. Hope this helps you somehow.

Hey, I have the same dream all the time. When you dream of moving things with your mind it means you just might have the gift of telekinesis (moving objects with the mind). Go to dreammoods.com and look for "telekinesis" and it will tell what that dream means exactly.

That could mean.
In reality, you are being controlled by others. In dream, you want to vent it out and control things in dream.
You want to people to notice you, to admire you. You can't get much from real life, so you do it in dreams
