Umm guys.. This girl is 13!! They both are in the 7th grade!! My niece is influenced by mostly everyone else! Most of people in her class smoke or/and drink! Anyway, she just told me.. You think I should tell her mom about her classmates?

I think as long as the friend was around my daughter she couldn't drink or smoke. I would probably tell her that I didn't think she should hang around a bad influence. If her friend was a real friend she would quit doing those things so she could be with her friend.

I can understand where the mother is coming from, she doesnt want to see her daughter messed up and ruin her life and yet the daughter has been friends with this girl for a long time and does not want to end the friendship. Here is what I would suggest since you really shouldnt have to choose between anyone in life. She should tell her friend that they have known each other for a long time and she does not want to end the friendship but she will not be involved in the activities that she does, such as drinking, smoking, etc. Then tell her mom that she has nothing to worry about that they are friends and when she decides to smoke, drink, whatnot that she will walk away and only hang out with her when she is not involved in those sorts of activities. That way she can please her mom and still be friends with this girl.

I really like my friends but my family is WAY more important, if i had to chose.

I would get her away from that friend because that friend is going to make your niece try to smoke and drink if she waits any longer and still is friends with this person, all i am trying to say is that they shouldnt be friends because that friend is going to trick into drinking or smoking, I would tell her that she couldnt be friends with her anymore and find her a better friend to be with. It is only for the best unless you want her to smoke and drink.

I hope this helped, sorry if it didnt!

Sometimes we think that our good behavior will affect someone else to the point where they will change their ways. That usually doesn't happen. What does is that the bad behavior rubs off on the more inexperienced one. As your niece is only 11 years old, I am with her mother on ending the relationship. It's sad to see friends part, but people do grow apart. It's time to move on.

She has an eleven year old friend who smokes and drinks? She needs to listen to her mother and stay away from this person. She's too young to have problems like this. Children have parents for a reason.....parents know what's best for their children......otherwise they would just drop from the sky and raise themselves.

she should tell the friend whats goin on and if her friend doesn't feel the same let her go b/c friends come and they go but family is forever she will find plenty of more friends to hang and chill with without all the smokin and drinking

Its always far more important to have family rather then friends as friends can drift away from you where as family is always there.
