make sure your home page is set to yahoo.com. some spyware changes this and when you remove it, it leaves a blank page.

In internet explorer click on tools and go to internet options. then a popup opens and make sure yahoo.com is listed as home page. if it is not type it in and hit apply at the bottom and then ok. then try your page again

good luck

Maybe it is not due to spyware. Many anti-spyware software programs lock IE's homepage and default search page to prevent hijacking of those pages. For example, Spybot Search & Destroy locks the homepage and IE's control panel. Other programs include: Windows Defender, Winpatrol, SpySweeper, Spyware Doctor...etc.. Try looking through your anti-spyware programs for an option to lock IE's homepage. For example, in Spybot Search & Destroy, use the Advance Mode, go to Tools > IE Tweaks > make sure "lock IE start page settings against user changes" is unchecked.
