Well, I can't speak from experience but my fiancé lost nearly 5 pounds in 5 days just by cutting back on his sodium intake. And he didn't cut back on it just a little -- I mean, he must've had just a few tablespoons of it in his food a day. Reducing sodium intake really helps with knocking off some of that water weight. That's what I'd recommend.

follow all the normal weight loss rules. .
Eat breakfast (as soon as you get up). . this gets the fire burning quickly (so you're burning calories as soon as you get up). .
also, if you eat breakfast, you're much less likely to pig out at lunch time cause you're so hungry. .
eat several smaller meals throughout the day, rather than two or three huge ones. This will benefit you in several ways.
Get at least 8 hours of sleep (preferably a little more than 8 hours each night). .
exercise regularly. (I'd say go out and play basketball for two hours twice to three times a week and really go at it. . work up a really good sweat and burn a lot of calories (but make sure you stretch first, before you start to play (especially stretch your legs, that way you're far less likely to pull a muscle or hurt yourself in other ways while playing)).
You could also do the fasting diet, where you mostly drink fruit juices rather than eat solid food.
This will help, but using the bathroom won't be very pleasant (as one other person on here pointed out).
If you do these, you should be able to lose weight relatively quickly.
I lost 25 lbs in 6 weeks (and my best friend lost the same amount in the same time period) a few years back by playing basketball twice a week (we played every Monday after noon and every Saturday night for two hours each time (one week we also played Thursday night). It really felt good to get out so often and play. It's a fun way to lose weight. .
even if you aren't any good at it. . that's what practice is for.
Good luck and God bless you.

there is nothing healthy about loosing alot of weight in a week! What are you doing it for? Are you doing it for a guy? Attention? If you are doing it for those reasons, how about looking at your self esteem first before loosing weight.
You aren't going to loose alot of weight in a week and keep it off, you will probably lose it(unhealthy) and gain more back on top of what you lost.
Be happy with yourself, do it the right way, the smart way.

If just for a week.. Try the Atkins diet. It will work great for short term.. but not a good diet to keep on (As it could damage your kidneys etc.) But for short term use, it is one of the best diets you can use for fast results.
Cut the carbs
Meat only
Lots of water
In a week you'll drop atleast 10-20 pounds.
Be careful though, some people cannot handle this diet!!

I know alot of strippers, and when they need to lose alot of weight fast, they have thier own method, which is pretty gross, but works. SOUP for a week. It fills you up, but it will also get you to, ahem, clean house alot, if you know what i mean. on average, they would lose 10-15lbs in 7 days (they stuck to Ramen noodles) FYI, it is not very healthy though.

Run like, a mile or two EVERY day, one before breakfast, and one after. Also, instead of haveing a big lunch, have somthing like crackers. And for breakfast, have cereal and fruit. As for dinner, have somthing light, but healthy. Good luck :-)
