how long would it take me to buy a laptop that costs 498.00 if i worked for $5 a week or $10 a week?

that would depend. If you are saving the money to buy the computer, then by the time you've saved the money the new computers would be out and that one obsolete, so you'd want a new model. figure in the sales tax too. Then, if you are buying from a friend, will he or she charge you interest? Lots of thing to think about when buying something.

You would grow old and the deal be long forgotten at those rates.
Someone just reminded me of something a few days ago, she said she had a peoplepc internet account and bought the computer through them. She pays one bill that includes the internet service and her personal computer. I don't know if that helps, but might be worth checking out. Good luck.

If you cannot even do basic 3rd grade arithmetic then I seriously doubt that would be able to operate and more importantly, properly maintain your own computer.

Dell helped me out....even with my credit problems .... just make sure you pay them ! ...No I don't work for them.
