Is there anyway to read a CD that has been broke in half?

Only on one side, very clean break tapping the label side didn't keep it perfectly together....any ideas or am I screwed.

not really not without risking damageing the cd drive anyway

If the aluminium foil is undamaged it may be possible, but you would have to repair the break so that the underside of the disk is perfectly smooth and will spin in the drive - chances are still slim as the break may refract the reading laser and cause that part to fail.
