I think of several different things that I know of. .

One is special kinds of soap and things designed to help get rid of acne (like clearasil, etc.). .

Another is avoid eating greasy foods (try to eat mostly fruits and vegetables, etc., with some meat and potatoes, of course), but not too greasy . .

Another thing you can do is wash your face reglarly (don't go crazy, but like three times a day with soap)

Swim regularly in a chlorinated pool [if you have access to one],

do some kind of exercise regularly to work up a sweat (which opens your pores so the stuff trapped in them can get out, the grease or whatever is trapped in them). .

I like basketball myself, very good for you in so many ways, but it opens up your pores when you sweat and that's good for your skin. .

Also, get plenty of sleep

bottom line, tho', you need to realize you are a wonderful and incredibly valuable person, that God loves so much (and anyone else with a lick of sense will love also).

You are worth so much (you have an infinite value to God), that if you were the only person on the earth, God still would have sent His Son to die on the cross for you, so that He could have you in Heaven with Him forever.

You're worth SO much, don't let whether you have acne or not ruin your self-esteem. Lots of people love and care about you and so does God!

God bless and good luck with working on your acne.

Dry and/or greasy skin due to poor oil composition of the skin. Thick greasy oils clog pores, lack of oil leads to dryness and irritation. You need thin oils to moisturize while dissolving and clearing gunk in your poors. Try fish oil or seafood. 2 tsp fish oil a day or 4 servings of seafood a week. Stick it out for at least 2 months; it will take a long time to replace all your oil. Any effect after 1-2 days is temporary or random; so even if it makes you break out a little at first, you haven't given it a full try yet.

In the short term you can wash and moisturize well, but that will only go so far. Plus excessive washing can be drying and excessive moisturizing can be clogging. Use a small amount of a light moisturizer, made with oil not jelly or grease. Often that means soybean oil or mineral oil. Mineral oil means mined from the ground. So soybean oil is usually better, though mineral oil won't cause too much harm. Clean with soap and water, not a harsh acne cleanser. Even then they only work so well. So you really need the seafood.

Antibiotics aren't really good for bacteria long term, they'll come back in force after. Short term they may help. After you get off them find some kefir with acidophilus listed first or 2nd to replace the friendly bacteria they destroyed. Studies show less illness when you have these bacteria, even outside the stomach in places such as the lungs and elsewhere. You want friendly bacteria to fill the void when the antibiotics stop, not harmful ones.

In the short term you might also try 100,000+ iu retinol vitamin A (a megadose, and too much for normal use) or one of the acne drugs that is similar to retinol vitamin A. It's some minor harm to your organs, but it helps against bacteria on your skin. At least it doesn't have the other long term drawbacks to your skin that antibiotics and many scrubs do.

If you would like to learn how to treat your acne permanently and regain your health and wellbeing, without drugs, without typical acne treatments, and without any side effects, then this will be the most important letter you will ever read.

I feel for you and know what you are going through. To be honest do not go to creams and cleansers for a cure. They are good for maintance but they are not a cure.Acne is created from the inside and in my opinion is related to a vitamin deficancy-

I cured my acne by doing the following:
First cut down on white sugars, chocolate and excessive fats. I can tell you when I have chocolate or heavy creamed ice-cream, I get massive pimples. Also cut out sodas. I drink Diet Pepsi which seems to be ok however make sure to cut out all non-diet soda. Each can of regular soda is equal to 10 tsp of white sugar YUK.Try water and lemon which is better for your body and it acts as a cleansing agent in your system.

Start eating whole wheat products because white breads, pastas etc only get converted to sugar in your body-

Heres the key:This is the CURE------>
Start taking vitamin B-5(Pantothenic Acid)each capsule is 500mcg. It sounds like alot but it will not hurt you in large doses because the B vitamins are water soulible. You can start out with a small dose and add more to see how your body reacts. In most cases diarrea was the only symptom.
I take 6000 mcgs a day
2000 in the morning
2000 in the afternoon
2000 in the evening

You should notice changes in a matter of a few days and your face will begin to clear up more and more each day. Please note that if you stop taking B5 your acne may return.

also take 200-500mg of Niacin. Please understand that Niacin will cause a flushing in the skin which may feel like a sunburn. This is because the niacin is creating blood flow under the skin and gets rid of toxins. This is normal the flush only last a couple hours. I usually take a warm bath which relieves the symptoms. The more you take the less the flushing will happen. Th niacin will help shrink pores and clense the skin. My skin clears right up with B5 and Niacin

I also take a multivitamin. Make sure to take all viatmins with food and plenty of water.

My skin was a disaster but with the vitamins and proper ating I have a great complexion.

Do a google search on B5 Panthetic acid for acne and you will get alot of info:

make sure to keep your face cleansed and use make up that does not clog your pores. Nutrogena Cosmetics are the best-

Use a product with benzoil peroxide (if you are not sensitive to it)... this is found in several over the counter acne treatments. You can also use something with salicylic acid, which works really well to treat existing acne. Do not overwash your skin (more than 2x/day) or you will cause your skin to be irritated (leading to more breakouts) and it will begin to produce more oil to keep moist.

Firstly, don't eat any extremely greasy foods or oily treats. ProActiv works really well for me...it only took me a few days to see results, but it doesn't work as great for some of my friends. It just depends on what type of skin you have. Wash your face before you go to bed, NEVER sleep with makeup on, and change your pillow case every couple weeks. Also, don't use any really soapy things on your face, because it dries out your skin and causes natural oils to be released. I hope that helps!

First know it is a bacteria that lives on you. Eat all the raw yogurt you can in one week. The family bacteria is too strong. Buy your own pillow and case. Use the sunshine to kill surface bacteria and chlorine in a pool. If you cant shake it then you have eczema and need to buy sulfur powder and salt your hair. Stay away from dead people's chairs and hats like at sally Anne stores.

I used Proactiv when I was in High School because it wasn't as costly as the professional brands we use in the salon today. "Phytomer" makes an exceptional skin care line, you should check that out first and then decide what you can handle.

p.s. With the Proactiv solution, I have noticed between friends and myself back in high school, we don't use the complete kit. We use the wash and lotion .. skipping the toner. It cleared our faces better, the toner made us break out.

My son uses a prescription soap called rosella. It works very well for him. Also, wash with soap twice a day and avoid anything that has oil or butter on it. Especially popcorn.
