My mom bought me this book and yarn and needles to make the shawl that is in it, but the page in my copy is defective and I can't read the pattern. I tried to forge ahead since she bought it while out of town and they will not exchange it by mail. But it doesn't look right! Does anyone have this book and can clerify what I am doing wrong? I think it said to cast on 40 stiches and then knit the right sdie rows and purl the wrong side rows, but the final dementions are totally obscured and it looks really narrow. Help!

Look on the packing and find the name of the company that made the product. Call them or write to them with your problem. They will help you either over the phone or by sending you a new pattern sheet. Been there done that and have been pleased with the customer service. Good luck.
