Laws vary from state to state, so I may not be 100% correct. But if you want to be emancipated you'll have to go to court and justify you being granted emancipation. You'll stand a better chance of this if you have a job, and if you have a good solid plan. You most likely are no longer in school so that this is a strike. But again if you have a solid plan and good reason/s to be on your own you can be granted this. BUT WHY would you want to do this?

No. In some states you may desire to be emancipated in case you marry, yet only getting pregnant does not do it. surely, the folly of doing so exhibits a loss of adulthood that argues against emancipation.

Hi I am 16 and I have a 6 month old, what you would have to do is get a lawyer from a juvinile court who represents childerens rights, they will not do it just because of your baby..you have to prove income and alot of things

If you're financially able to take care of you and the baby call the legal aid society, every city has one.

I really think a mother at 16 needs all the help she can get from her family . why on earth do you want to seperate from them ?
