Stress can definitely affect your period.
And stressing out about missing a period will make it worse.

If you are 100% certain you are not pregnant then I say it is probably the stress you have been under causing your period to be late. Stress will definitely do that to a woman. Don't worry unless you start having any other weird symptoms of something being wrong.

Stress can effect your period and quite often will. If it continues after your stress has passed or for several months even with the stress you should see a doctor and ask about getting put on some meds to regulate it. I would not worry too much about it right now though.

2.) I have been ver stressed out lately, could this affect it?
yes. Stress can stop your period. I wouldn't worry about it if you've never had intercourse

Well, if you know you aren't pregnant, there's nothing to worry about. Sometimes, because of stress or weight gain or weight loss or a new exercise regimen or any other number of non-harmful reasons, your period can get off it's regular cycle. I'm sure you'll get it in a week or so, so don't worry!

yes, stress is a major cause of skipped or late menstrual periods...poor nutrition or weight loss is another. If you still haven't had your period by the time your next one comes due, speak to your doctor. I wouldn't be too worried...young women are notorious for irregular cycles and it could even just be a hormonal change causing it.

Stress can certainly cause your period to be late. If you are more than a week late you might want to see a doctor to rule out any other causes.

Yes, stress can deffinately effect your cycle. Coming from somebody who has had irregular cycles for my entire life, if it continues, or is something you're really worried about, talk to your doctor. I ended up having cysts on my ovaries. (Polycystic Ovarian Disease) Definately try and find ways to de-stress, it does have a major effect.

Hi there lady, Its nothing to be afraid of as you have said that you have not had sexual intercourse. It is perfectly normal for a lady to have late periods. It is due to stress in your body and that makes you have late periods.
Try to relex, and it will come soon.
