Not only was it a really enjoyable movie that depicted childhood beautifully, but it was probably the best adaptation of a Stephen Kind story ever done. Not only did Rob Reiner not deviate from the story, but he captured the relationships, scenery and overall tone perfectly.

Great movie but the book by Steven king " the Body" was a bit better
The whole movie was shot in Cottage grove Oregon wonderful town that is like stepping back into the early 60's well it still was when i left 8 years ago.
those kids remind me of me 30 years ago.

I'm not a Stephen King fan but the movie is a classic.
I was 12 going on 13 the first time I saw a dead human being. It happened in the summer of 1959 - a long time ago, but only if you measure in terms of years....

Great movie by Rob Reiner. Excellent study of human behavior under extraordinary circumstances. Loved how he got great performances out of four very different kids.

I loved it! It was a great movie! And it was great because it didn't have ANY sex in it and it didn't have the violence that is in so many movies today. They should make more movies like it.

It's a good movie, better story. It's Stephen King, and he's the best.

Thought it was an interesting look into the lives of young boys. It was believable and lovable.
The puking scene always makes me a bit queezy.

I do not like the leach part. I always have to leave the room at that part. But other than that, it's an ok movie.

I think that it is wonderful and one of those movies that I always go back to. A classic which I never get sick of.
