I think it should be! I mean well it's just my opion. I don't smoke, but I think people should respect the people who don't wanna smell smoke when they're out in public and everything.

Roll on the smoking ban in England! I prefer not to stink of cigarettes when I get home after a night out ... and I'm also hoping that a ban in public places is going to give my little sister enough of an incentive to think about quitting - I don't want her to get sick and anything that might encourage her to stop smoking is good in my book!

If people can pollute the atmosphere with crying children, and constant public arguing, I should be able to light up if I want to. If the people don't like it, then they can move. Noise will travel further than smoke, so until they make a law that people can not be obnoxiously loud in public, then smoking shouldn't be banned.

In Scotland, it is illegal to smoke in an ENCLOSED public space, but is perfectly legal to smoke outside and in the back of police cars. It is the same in many US states including Virginia, North Carolina and California.

The rules come in to force in England and Wales in 2007.

In some places it is illegal. Until they find a way to keep the smoke IN the smoking section, it is completely meangingless to have a smoking/nonsmoking delineation.

I don't remember who said it originally but it is very true...having a smoking section in a restaurant is like having a peeing section in a swimming pool.

It is illegal in some public spaces, for example, on the street near the entrance of buildings in some cities.

Yes, and cars should be illegal in public too, since they cause far more pollution.
So should alcohol, and wearing clothing that might raise someone else's blood pressure...and there should be a 6 o'clock curfew for everyone.

Mind your own business dumb*ss, (unless of course you also don't think it should be illegal) and no I don't smoke, nor have I ever, but the surgeon general warns that *ssholes who want to run the world according to the way the personally like things to be may encounter serious health risks, like being pile driven through a f*cking brick wall by my large angry person.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!!!!!!!!
