Comfortable PJ's that have access for nursing if you are going to breastfeed, maternity clothes to wear home (your tummy will still be large even though the baby is out), toothbrush and paste, hair brush, shampoo, glasses or contact lens stuff (if needed), facial wash and body wash.
Clothes for the baby to wear home and newborn diapers for the trip home.
Basically, anything you would need for a sleep over.
Good luck!

You might want to bring a car seat. Some hospitals include car seats, but it might be good to have one just in case.

Bring your maternity clothes to wear home. Probably still won't be able to fit into normal clothes.

Clothes for baby to wear home. The hospital will have onesies but you might want to put something else on the new bundle.

Here's a good website that might help: http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/health-public-affairs/mhcs/publications/7210.html

Congratulations!

Don't forget the camera or the baby book. Take a come home outfit for you and baby. I wouldn't bother with diapers or anything they will give you a diaper bag with samples of diapers and wipes. Toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, conditioner...they usually provide you with shampoo and body soap. Take a phone card and address book to call all your relatives about the wonderful news.

i would say bring as little as possible, so you don't have to worry about keeping everything organized as your labor progresses. I'd say something to keep you entertained if labor takes a while (books/movies) and something that you find comforting (stuffed animal). also maybe some toiletries, but you won't need clothes. let someone else bring baby clothes/paraphenalia when you are closer to getting ready to going home.

let your husband/partner know that he is in charge of all his OWN stuff!! Clothes/toiletries/food, etc etc etc.
