The only problem I'm having with with the security level for restricted websites. It won't let change it from high.

You are stuck. Windows XP SP 2 gives you many security features not found in previous features. I think MS is only supporting XP with SP 2 soon. IE 7 should be out soon, so try that to see if it fixes your issues (or the beta if you dare).

Also you could put FireFox on it and you will have the security of PX SP2 and a good web browser.

Perhaps your problem is that you are using Internet Explorer. Try the latest version of Netscape and see if that helps you.

Yes, but I would not suggest it, because microsoft soon will be stopping support for SP1, so in order to get updates, you must have SP2 installed. They are already working on SP3.

I have SP2 installed and my security is set the medium and I am able to change it.

NO, windows does not support service pack 1 anymore..just windows, with service pack 2..

if you reformat and have a copy of windows with out the intergrated service pack,did you install the service pack or was it done with the computer when you bought it
