Make a demo. Making a demo these days is less expensive than it has been in the past. Take 3 of your best songs record them, burn them onto CD and pass it around to your friends and have them make copies for their freinds and so on. The gigs will come.

Make a CD with 4-5 songs, give it to owners of clubs and bars. Gonna be hard if you're not 18 though, cause they can't let you in places with alcohol if you're too young. If you are young, try to play at random places like outside ice cream shops and stuff...you might not get paid, but you'll be able to get recognised and build a fan base.

apply to any place that does shows. if you're in shcool, try gettin out cd's to everyone n get some support. take whatever you can get, no gig is too small when you're startin out
