Ah, there's something definitely going on...someone has his number...or he's been calling someone......FOR SURE!
You're not being silly....You've got a choice....put up with it until he slips up or save yourself the grief and find out now!

Try this. Next time the bill for that phone comes in, write down all the numbers called and recieved. Then, give the ones you don't recognize a call. Warning, you might find out something you thought you might wanna find out, but don't really want to know and you might get your feelings all hurt.

Relationships should be open. It sounds like he doesn't want to be fully open with you. You should be on the same team, he shouldn't be defensive against you. Sounds like you guys have some issues you should go figure out.
