im about to turn 13 in one month i made the volley ball team so im going to be traveling all the time but ive already tried that on her i dont want to use pay phones when my game is over PS she is veeerrry hard to get her to change her mind help i NEED a cell phone im not saying i want one i need one so i can get a hold of her and i cant get her to under stand that

Im 13 and i just got a cell phone
tell her that it would be safe to have one in emergencies and that if you were out with your friends you could call if there is a problem or something like that. Also tell her you won't charge up the phone bill too much ;)

You sound like you have a real need for the cell phone you're requesting. Tell your mom that payphones are becoming a dinosaur. The Bell systems companies are almost completely phasing out their payphones. The only payphones which are still around are those owned by private companies.With so many people using cell phone, I frankly don't know how much longer even they can stay in business.

Tell her you've seen this creepy guy hanging around outside of school and even out and about and you feel like he's been stalking you. Then say you would really like a cell phone to have in case something happens (Elizabeth Smart, Carlie Brucia, etc.).

Oh my god. Same thing happened to me. Well, try going for a cheap phone and a flexible plan. If that doesn't work, tell your mom, that whenever your not using the phone, she can hold on to it to make sure your not using it. Sorry if none of this helped you.

I agree with Richard....and honestly, I think you are too young to carry a cell phone. I'm sure if your mother felt that you needed one for emergancy reasons, she would let you use hers or buy you one. If you want one that bad.....GET A JOB AND BUY A PREPAID PHONE! Your mother is a wise women.....

You clean gutters and pick up dog poop to raise money and get a "Go" phone. Pre paid and costly, but if not if you just use it for emergencies, like YOU say.

You've got to prove to her that you are responsible. Do your chores. Don't talk back to her. Clean up after yourself. Keep your grades up. Do what you say you're going to do.
Then you can approach her on it and see if she will agree.
Just in case she doesn't, keep it up anyway. Eventually, she'll see you're trying.
