well you can take it a number of ways - if it was her own sweat probably wouldn't have melted - produced from her body - but if she's a witch perhaps she didn't sweat at all - or perhaps it was what was in the bucket of water they tossed on the old gal that did her in - soap - lye something like that

Why would you ask a hypothetical question about an event in a fairytale movie? Hypothetical questions are a means for us to determine how something might happen in the real world. The wicked witch was not real, and the fact that she was melted by a bucket of water wasn't real. I hope you know that.

In the musical "Wicked", the Witch of the West actually faked her death to try to get the citizens of Oz to stop pestering her. She let Dorothy throw the water on her, then went down a trap door. then she came out, and is still probably in hiding somewhere in Oz.

Very profound question. However, sweat and water are not the same thing, so its hard to say. If all liquids cause her to melt, then I think we can safely say that sweating would be bad for her. On the other hand, maybe its just plain water that can kill her, no?

Welll....since sweat and water are similar, yet different. I would think she would have had to sweat a lot, to melt herself.
