I replaced the fuel filter.
There is enough gas in the tank.
My "CHECK ENGINE" light is on.

Alternator is good.
Could the alarm have anything to do with it?

could be a loose fuse of a crack in the distributor, check all of your fuses and that the battery connections are tight and not corroded that can also cause problems.

The first thing I would do is change the O2 sensor. A lot of times the oxygen sensor takes a crap and messes with ur emissions. Try that, usually in the manifold, convertor, or in the exhaust somewhere. Good luck.

Take it to a mechanic, to make sure, but when this happened to me it was an alternator problem. I had to have the alternator replaced.

maybe mass air flow. Depends on what type of car. best off checking engine light code. auto zone on certain models does it for free.

bad ground under the hood. I fixed this for a guy and it took me 2 weeks to find it.

leaving car doors and trunks open cause this with my sisters car.
