Bats, unlike goats, like to hang from a perch or branch. As far as keeping them in a cage, I know of people that have been quite successful. I'd check with a nature preserve for more details.

The goat should be free to roam a field - not kept in a cage of any sort. As for the bats, set them free (unless you are hand rearing them) life is too short to be caged up!
