Yes. You need to get a "wireless network adapter". You can either get a card that will go into a laptop, or if you have a desktop you can get a wireless adapter that plugs into a USB port. This will allow your computer to receive and transmit to a wireless network, such as at Starbuck's or at places that have free wireless networks. If this is for home use, you will need a wireless router as well, which will plug into your (cable or dsl) modem. In my experience, Linksys has the simplest to use and most reliable ones. If you only use your computer for browsing the web and checking email, then a wireless B network will suffice. If you download a lot of music of programs, or listen to streaming music or watch streaming videos, then you want Wireless G or the new Pre-N (which is backwards compatible to both G and B, as is G backwards compatible to B).

If your computer comes with wireless internet chip installed (check the documentation) you should be able to connect IF you have a network. But if you don't have a wireless chip, get one of those little plug-in wireless chips; they cost about $40 to $200.
