Israel starts a war over 2 soldiers and then kills unarmed civilians with an indiscriminate bombing and all I want to know is what should our response be?

Personally I think we should charge the PM of Israel with murder.

They just don't care about anything but some sort of revenge and they don't care who they hurt or kill it's time to tell them that is unaceptable.

Not sure who exactly the questioner means by "we".

Personally I am sorry for the loss of innocent life. I don't know what to say about it except its not known to be a safe country. i.e. you take a risk by being there.

The reason for the war was 8 killed soldiers, 2 kidnapped, and invasion of a foreign land by a paramiltary group that is controlled by foreign powers.

The sad thing is the Lebanese army cannot or will not remove them from the land, thus the government of these people is held accountable for the actions of those people.

Yeah those canadians were really smart for being there

and it was an accident. American soldiers accidently killed Italian soldiers in Iraq. Does that mean Italy should attack USA?

Grow up

"Israel starts a war over 2 soldiers and then kills unarmed civilians with an indiscriminate bombing and all I want to know is what should our response be?"

So basically you say Israel shouldn't do anything about 2 soldiers but on the other hand you want Israel's government dead over a few canadians??? Can you say hypocritical?

and what kind of leader would you make if you can just say "oh well it was only two soldiers, who cares". I believe thats called being a selfish coward.

Revenge? This is about revenge? its about securing Israel's future so the israeli people won't have to live in fear. Take care of Hezbollah in Lebanon. Taking care of HAMAS. I cannot believe how people in the western world still hate this freedom-loving country. Is it anti-semetism? Is it that Israel is brave enough to defend themselves? Why?

Israel's response to two of its soldiers being captured is totally irrational and irresponsible. The capture of two soldiers is not justification to go out and start bombing an entire country. The jews are looking for any excuse to inflict damage on Arabs; the soldiers' capture is just a stupid jewish excuse. In a way I hope that Iran jumps in with some massive attack of some sort. It would serve the jews right. Israelis seem to think they can destroy anything and get away with it. It is high time somebody smacked them down and smacked them hard.

Though a lot of these answers state that its a war and **** happens and that only their point of view is correct and they only have the right of it. I would like to counter with the question that what would these people think if 8 Americans died rather than Canadian, since there are a whole lot of American citizens there too.

Although through one answer I am pretty sure some people would say that they're probably Arab so in fact they must be terrorists and not really Americans

WTF?
It's war. Innocent people get killed. Everything and everyone in Lebanon is a legitimate target, after Haifa (a MAJOR city in Israel) was bombed.

You have a short memory. Did you forget who was caught a few weeks ago planning to blow up the CN tower? That's the same material Hezbollah is made of. Before 9/11, it was considered the most dangerour terrorist organization in the world, and is considered terrorist by the US, the EU and CANADA.

it's not a bad idea. it's legitimate under the circumstances. personally, i'd urge a canadian boycott of israel. i only wish my countries (usa, germany) would do the same. unfortunately it won't happen, given that the regimes in both places are operating under the false impression that israel is an ally. if it really were an ally to any of us, their leaders would have contacted ours, and would have given us time to get our people out before commencing with what is obviously an unmitigated display of total barbarism.

i feel badly for the countries affected by their rampaging... to think, it will only get worse.

Learn to think is what "we" should do. If rockets started dropping in on your town the way they've been in Israel, in addition to the 2 soldiers, you'd probably have a different perspective.

They weren't true Canadians. They were of Arab decent. So they were probably terrorists.
