I guess you would have to say the VW Beetle. Not my most favourite car, but it has been around a long time without many changes and a load of people think they are beautiful. As a car for the masses I don't think you would have to look much further.
If you were asking about my favourite car it would have to be a late 90's Maserati Ghibli - the ultimate in stealth cool.

My 1987 Honda Accord 2.0 exi.
Or should I say it was since it got stolen for the eighth time 3 weeks ago and this time no sign of it.
198000 miles and never let me down or used oil, very quick and great roadholding, like a wolf in sheeps clothing.
Only one problem:- too easy to steal
