I don't understand how anyone with morals and a brain could not be disgusted by this. At first I honestly thought these shows were just satirical jokes. This is the exact kind of ludricously mindless entertainment that novels in the past have warned about. I think it's contributing to the dumbing down of this country. Ok not the ONLY cause obviously, you don't have to point that out.
And they're not even ENTERTAINING! If I wanted to watch a bunch of degenerate airheads sit around and talk about what they want to wear, talk about boys, and brush their teeth I'd visit my local mall. At least Survivor had some entertainment value.

I think the people who make those shows know that the stars of them are self-absorbed, rich little pricks who need to have their a55es kicked.
I mean, that's what most people watch the Sweet 16 show for anyway. It's just to get angry at these spoiled rich brats throwing tantrums for not getting everything they want. Most people would like to punch those kids in the face.

Sometimes people need mindless entertainment to get away from all the problems and stress in the world. Just because you don't find it entertaining doesn't mean other people don't, everyone has a different idea of entertainment. I would bet there are some things you do or watch for entertainment that others would think are just as stupid. I like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, many people think its stupid, I think its well written and witty.

I've never watches laguana beach or the hills because I think they look so boring and stupid and I dont give a f*ck about some rich white kids boring problems. But I have watched Sweet 16 probably because I think it looks fun to plan a party and I like to see what kind of cars the spoiled brats get.

I wish they would take these shows off and show some real people for once not some spoiled pampered kids. I want to create a show about poor people and show how there lives are.

we as voyuers want to see other people get rejected, humiliated, and shunned.
we want to know how others deal with these complex emotions.
It's what makes jerry springer so popular.

i dont know, i just grab my board and go from sunlight to sunset, and then its all about ym family and my girl friend, a much better infatuation than eating cheetos and watching other people have sex on the beach
