depends on how long the song is, and how much space it takes up, let's take, oh Holiday from Green Day, which is about 3 minutes long and 3.59 MB big. So divide and you would be able to hold about 142 Holidays. But then again, it's the size and length of the song that will tell you how many songs you can hold. But it would most likely be above 120.

MP3s are actually not all the comparable length, they very in high quality and length. I want a sturdy high quality 192 kps mp3, so at an time-honored mp3 length of around 7 megs i will in superb condition approximately seventy 4 mp3s on a 512mb participant.

depends on the bitrate that the songs are converted to mp3 in. The higher the bitrate, the bigger the file size. The bigger the file size then the less songs you can put on. But higher bitrate = better sound quality. I have 256mb that i use just for the gym. I have about 15 songs on it. But i have songs that are huge files because they are ripped at 320k.

Approximately 125 songs. Depends on the length of the songs, but 125 will be close.

If you are looking for larger storage, there are 40GB IPods that play up to 10,000 songs!
