I know a lot of people that are doing very well off... but they came from a very upper middle class/wealthy background with many, many, many advantages over the kids where I grew up... a poor neighborhood...
these people who have grown up in luxury talk about how the poor are just lazy... yet they don't know about poverty or even what manual labor and hard work are...
they had parents that supported their education... paid for all the little extras and extra classes... gave them a car... ENCOURAGED them to read and learn... had two parents in a loving household with stability...
and these people complain about the little things in their life, like if they don't have enough money for the "newest cell phone" for a few weeks... because they aren't getting that check from their parents for two weeks...
then they sit and talk about how the poor are lazy...
even when many poor people have two jobs... and they work part time?
they have no clue how hard it is to be poor...

also, what gets on my nerves, is when someone from an upper class neighborhood thinks that they "are living a rough life and grew up poor" just because they didn't get that new mustang convertable, but had to settle for the 2005 version...
this sounds like rukking to me... if you knew about poor neighborhoods, you would know most people work... and most aren't lazy... there are some, but they are a vast miniorty...
it's kind of hard to "take advantage of public school" when you can only go to school two days a week, since you share one pair of shoes with your two brothers and only one of you can go to school in a day... I've seen it happen... I don't think you have...

max_sterling003: I went to school, got a degree... I work hard... I have more than enough... a career...
what I don't like... is these people who haven't worked hard and had it handed to them talkinig about people that didn't have a chance in the first place...
I know I had it much better than some I saw growing up... I was lucky...
NOBODY could make it out of some of those homes and be a success... yet many have the nerve to call them lazy?
It's like you're all wallowing in your own ignorance about the realities of America...

i agree with you.
but theyve never known anything different or been anything other than what they are.
i think they know that they are supposed to feel lucky. but they dont actually realize it or understand it.
the absurd luxury they live in... they would have a hard time living without. they wouldnt give sacraficialy to charity...youre right. its a problem.
everyone, and i believe everyone from EVERY country, lives to the absolute maximum that they possibly can. it just so happens that Americans live in a much wealtheir country.
and they talk about how the poor are lazy because they are TOTALY ignorant. its not even their fault. they just think.. they are better. but they dont even realize they are in the position they are because of how they were raised and not beause it is something special about them.
youre right. but how can we fix this?

I am not rich but I am grateful for what I have. I've worked very hard for it. Perhaps many of those poor wouldn't be poor if they did what was required of them in the free public schools systems of the country, then they wouldn't have to work two jobs. I'm not really convinced that you know what you are talking about. I've been there. I've seen it. I've experienced it. Many of the poor are lazy because the government allows them to be so and still get a check. I could go on, but you are a lost cause.

the only dictatorship attainable in this united states of america is the Dictatorship with the aid of maximum human beings. only vote for non-Democrats in 2010, and vote against Obama in 2012. The final 8 years had some liberals (and a few white supremacists and armed forces circulate varieties) confident that Bush could declare Martial regulation to evade everyone from eliminating him and/or Cheney from the White domicile on the top of his term. Clinton replace into accused of making FEMA loss of life camps, then Bush replace into, now Obama is. Bush replace into meant to be privatizing the full government and letting his crony CEO friends take over. to no longer point out blowing up the twin Towers. What communist issues has Obama genuinely carried out? no longer purely stated, genuinely instituted with the aid of himself. Congress has long previous alongside in some situations (bailouts), yet no longer plenty has genuinely got here approximately. well being Care? that may not even on the threshold of passing yet. that may not dictatorial. As for tax expenses -- fifty 5% isn't something. look on the Reagan years. Democrats have faith government is the final thank you to unravel social issues. Republicans have faith government is the challenge. neither is communist or fascist (yet each calls the different that).

They don't have a clue. Most only contact with the poor is when they pass them in the street, and they don't do that very often either!
Most poor you can't see! Many live in the woods with no electricity, water, and dirt floors with 5 people living in 1 room!

I completely understand where you're coming from, since I don't come from a very well-off family myself (and I also attend a college where the majority of the students are very wealthy, so I know exactly where you're coming from.)
Some people just don't understand how well they do have it in life. And others don't understand how their not-so-well-off status have made them into the person that are!
However, if I had the choice to be "rich" or my current socioeconomic status, then I would choose my current status because my hardships have made me into the wonderful person that I am today. God has truly blessed me, and I hope that He continues to bless you too!

Thank you someone else out there who has brains. My family is considered middle class, but it is actually poor. We do not qualify for any foodstamps or health coverage so we have to pay cash for everything. We are so broke at the end of the month. Its just me my daughter and my fiance and it takes alot of money to support us. We shop cheaply and conserve everything we can I just think people who are rich don't care about anything but their mercedes.

You are right. Many of them are not like that but some are. And are loud enough to speak for the whole group even if that is not how everyone thinks.
It is sad but they do not know better.

Couldnt say maybe some do and maybe some dont. I think the bigger problem is you hate them for having stuff you dont. Figure out how to get it yourself if you dont like it. You need to put up or shut up.
