When they require care that 1 person cannot provide. It doesnt matter why the care can't be provided. I would not risk a loved ones health or safety. There are other alternatives to nursing homes. Adult foster care homes offer 24 hour care in a home like setting.

Under NO circumstances would anyone in my family EVER be put in a nursing home, ESPECIALLY not Zerbe Sisters. I feel sorry for anyone who lives or works there, the place is so awful!

If the individual is incapable of taking care of themselves and you are unavailable they may be better off in a nursing home. They will get the medical attention you can not and that they need. It isn’t the ideal situation for most because they feel they are letting their parents down, for example. But, it isn’t always the worst place for them.

Yes. My family had to put my grandmother in a nursing home because of Alzheimer's. There was no one to stay with her and she would wander around. We were afraid she would get lost or fall and get hurt. There are good nursing homes out there you just have to check around.

Never ever ever!! Ive worked in a nursing home, and I have seen what goes on there! I would highly suggest no one ever do that to a loved one. No matter what the home tells you, they are not taking care of the pts. ick to them too.

No I wouldnt. Ive already assure my parents that I would take care of them. Even if that means the sacrifce of what I want to do. By then my children should be grown and I will have the time to do so. I couldnt bare thinking of my parents not being well taken care of.

1.) They need constant medical attention
2.) They are always alone, you "Dont have time for them"
3.) They cannot communicate with anyone, and cannot get around on their own.
