Not a box. But if it was a tin, and you covered someones stomache with the rat inside, and when the tin is heated, the rat wants to dig out because its hot and no where else to escape cause obviously they would not want to touch the tin.

It is in Ripley's museum. They have an old torture device which is a metal tub. It would be placed upside down with rats in it on a person's stomach. Then, to entice the rats, they would put hot coals on the bottom of the upside down tub. The rats would go down through the poor victim to escape the heat. Nasty. "Believe it or not".

There's a form of ancient Chinese torture... cover the rat with a metal bowl and heap hot coals over it. The prisoner would have to confess very swiftly to survive the damage done.

it could chew thru the box eventually.but a metal bucket and it would eventually start to eat his way out thru the path of least resistance(the stomach)
