See I moved to Tonga (An Island In the South Pacific) when I was about 9 years old. I had light brown skin. I came back to California when I was 11 years old. Now I have Dark brown skin and some pimples and stuff on my face. I just want to lighten my face to light brown. Is doing this possible??? or am I gonna have dark skin for the rest of my life??? I'm just a 14 year old boy who hates taking pictures just because I think I'm to dark.

It's going to take a while for your skin to come back to it's natural color. I am mixed with black and white and in the summer I look black and in the winter I look like I'm white with a tan...so the best advice I can give you is to stay out of the sun, which will be especially hard since you live in California. Just love the skin your in! <3

Before thinking about lightening your skin i think you should take care of the pimples. maybe you should see a dermatologist for that or you can use products with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide to clear up your pimples. to lighten your skin you can use products with hydroquinone. It is a bleaching agent found in ambi, black opal, palmers and tons of other skin lightening creams. be careful though, because you should limit your exposure to the sun when using these products. Also, always remember to use sunscreen to protect your skin. Good luck and make sure that you don't lighten so much that you end up looking like a monkey. believe me I have seen it too many times and trust me pale face and a dark neck and hands just don't look right.

I think all of the products used to lighten your skin sound very dangerous. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having dark brown skin. Look at Michael Jackson, he tried to lighten his skin many times!!!! Stay the way you are! As for your pimples, youre a teenager and its normal to have bad skin. You can buy skin products to help with acne and pimples at any drugstore. If it is really bad acne, maybe you could see a doctor or dermatologist.

Is it a tan? You do live in California. Pimples are normal for your age. Try sunblock 45SPF. If it is you naturally darkening as you grow older...you are going to have to get used to it. The only person I know that has lightened their skin is Michael Jackson. Enjoy yourself you only get one you and as it turns out you are brown. Love the skin you're in!

i'm half poly. and just stay out of the sun. Don't touch those whitening creams, it makes your face and neck two-toned.
