Unfortunately I don't have an answer to your question, however, I will tell you this...the person above who posted "become a vegetarian" is a stupid A$$ cuz I'm a vegetarian and i have had acne before, also i know MANY other vegetarians, and they have acne as well...here are a few things I have done to help my acne and that i have noticed made a difference.....
1. drink a WHOLLLEE lotta water, it helps clean out your system
2. a basic vitamin pill, helps keep your body nourished (good to do whether you have acne or not)
3. always make sure your face isn't oily, and if it is, wash it!
4. a daily wash
5. some sort of daily wipe that you can take anywhere to go with you
6. there are teas out there already blended to help your skin (check at a local health food store)
...and i'm sure you know a few others...hope this helps!

Your acne may be due to some toxic junk in your body. I'm a teen who doesn't eat much junk and eats lots of plants, and I've never had an acne problem, even though my father was a 'pizza-face'.
Don't eat any packaged food, processed stuff, and white things (white bread, flour, sugar). Eat lots of plants.
If that doesn't work, see a Homeopathic Practitioner or Naturalpath. He'll have lots of herbs, oils, and other stuff to fix your problem.
Try not to take medications for it though. It's not good for you.

I have 2 that worked for me when lots of other prescription things didn't.
The first is for everyone. Wash your face in the morning (twice) with Head and Shoulders shampoo.
The second is for guys. Switch from an electric razor to a safety razor.

I tried the honey thing didn't like it anyway. Ok try something that you can scrub with like sugar or something grainy to get the dead skin of your face.

Toothpaste.
Just make sure it is the "white & pastey" kind. It's cooling effect helps with inflamation, the mint helps fight the bacteria.

well, rinse everyday with warm water, them cold water. i do that when i wake up and when i go to sleep. also, try just buying a bottle of neutrogena acne wash oil free. its really cheap , a couple of bucks, and works REALLY well. all you do is wash 1 time a day and ta da, no more acne!

I really really really would not do that. Skin is a precious organ. I know home remedies are easier and not expensive, but you are going to do better with Proactiv.
