Not sure what you are asking.

The Macintosh remains the most stable, reliabe consumer mini-computer on the market. Older macs are still so fast and good that there's almost no reason to buy a new machine - but Apple keeps coming up with attractive newer editions. Apple's new ad campaign is a decade overdue but at last it's getting the point across.

I guess "what's next" might be lots more software development, a bigger market share and perhaps an end to the hated Microsoft windows OS.

Next up for MAC is Intel. They will be driving MACs right into PCs. Soon, you will be seeing viruses, SpyWare and all of the other things that made you wish that you had a PC.

(Personally, I'd get the last G5, fully loaded, using the fastest Motorola 6800 chip while they last, cause things are really going to suck for several years).
