My favorite is a Irish quote
God, grant me the Senility To forget the people
I never liked anyway,
The good fortune To run into the ones I do,
And the eyesight To tell the difference

"Beware of the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind. And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind is closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader and do it gladly. How do I know? I know for this is what I have done. And I am Caesar."
---Julius Caesar
The second best is: "I don't think a lot about what I'm doing."

"Funny don't it!"
My son said this when he was 3 years old.
We would always say, that's funny ain't it, and this was his way of saying it. He is now six and my husband and I still say it to each other instead of saying "That's funny." It was so cute. We don't ever want to forget it.
