What do you think of sending a petition to FIFA 2006 to re-schedule a final between France and Germany?
The cup stays in Italy if they win but returns to France if Italian lose. This would be a lesson to all sportsmen who do not behave well in the field. It also would be a lesson for many societies in the world who are conducting unhealthy competition. World Championship had some meaning and objectives on human well being, but these objectives seemed to have been lost in that final game.

As much as I would LOVE to see a re-match with France winning, you have to understand that what was done was done. Italy won and as much as you, me, and the rest of the France's fans don't agree with it, they won. Who's to say that they have the rematch and France looses once more to the penalty kicks? Then it'll just be even worse and Italy's will be absolutely terrible towards us.
It's the same with Korea and the Swiss. People called for a re-match because of the goal the Swiss made when everyone stopped play because of a call but, a re-match is not going to happen.
Gotta let it go, hun. Just remember, there's always 2010!

NO! Do you realise that you are asking the World Cup FINALS to be played again?
I don't care what happened and who said what, at the end of the day actions speak louder than words, and well we all saw Zidane's reaction. Every sport has insults in it, of course a) it's sports b) in this case it is men playing it who have to stroke their own egos by putting someone else down
In Zidane's case he literally put someone down.
I don't think FIFA can say the Final is to be replayed, there might be hell to pay. I for one would kill them. Football season is over, the Italians won, the French lost. Get over it, and do the best you can in 2010 South Africa.

Italy won the world cup because they proved over 4 weeks they were better than any team they played they could only play the teams put in front of them ,personally i think overall they thou roughly deserved to win and by a bit of a margin .If you are getting at the current state of Italian football , i think you should note that not one player was accused of anything (it was all officials from the boardrooms and finance , so please dont put any blame on the players ) as this makes it even more extra ordinary that this team performed so well in these extraordinary circumstances

It seems as though you want to penalize Italy for something that they did by asking for a rematch. I guess Zidane's behavior regarding the situation is acceptable?
Get off of this people, there's a lot of talking going on during these games, and who to say that it wasn't Zidane who might have provoked Materazzi to say what he did to begin with? And I don't want to hear that he's above that.
Regarding sportmanship....the smallest of things that one does to another to throw someone off their game could be consider unsportsmen like.
Have you ever played a sport? If so, tell me you've never done something to gain an edge...again even the smallest of things?

why not starting with the semi-finals. All four teams playing against each other. If you have a petition, sign me up. But I wouldn't think it would work anyway. What's over is over... Just wait for another four years... WC 2010 will be Germany.

a rematch would be stupid. it is done. but i don't agree with people sya to wait to 2010. the European cup is in 2008 in Switzerland and Austria. i say fight it out then while it is still fresh ( well fresher then in 2010) and then go into the next world cup with drama about Euro 2008 that why they won't seem so pity that they kept a grudge for 4 years.

Oh please, give it a break. Just because France lost against Italy.. because of Trezeguet, doesn't mean you have to re-do a game, so that they'd make the frenchmans win. It's over!! ITALY WON!! Just wait until 2010. Who knows, they might win or lose! Your just saying this because you didn't want Italy to win.
