I met a guy a few summers ago and it was the first and only instance where I had those feelings of "love at first sight". After many dates, hanging out etc.. I was just in awe of him. The way he talked to me was out of this world.. it's like he was what I've always been looking for. He was done w/grad school, in a successful band, VERY great looking, GREAT sense of humor and overall highly intelligent.

All of my friends said he was just using me for sex but I don't know. Would a guy get upset if you talked about your ex so much and quit talking to you?

I just don't know why I do this. I see him in public and I still get butterflies and can barely mutter a "hello" in passing.

What does all of this mean and what is wrong w/me?

BTW-I do have a boyfriend of almost 2 years. We met a few months after I quit talking to that guy.

I had a similar experience with a girl, it just takes time to get over them. It took me the better part of 5 years. Try to find something else to focus your attention on (like your current boyfriend)

Or, you can talk to the guy and see if he still has feelings for you, then decide where to go from there.

Honestly, if he was in a band, he probably was just using you for sex. I know people in bands, believe me. They are very manipulative and not very conciderate of other people.

You cant deny those feelings. See if you and that guy that's always on your mind can give it a second chance. Tell him how you feel. It's been over two years and still cant get him off your mind. Follow your heart and go for him again. You never know, he may be feeling the same for you but wouldnt approach you for his own reasons. But make the first move and see where it leads. And even if it leads to nowhere, at least you'll know for sure it's over and you can completely move on now.

I think probably that you might have been with him at a time you were very lonely and/or vulnerable. Maybe you did fall in love at first sight, but you engaged in sex without him loving you, and that's always a mistake.

You either get in a real relationship with this guy or forget him and look for someone else. You cannot live in the past.

He was filing a need you had and he was great to you. Having feelings is normal, but do not get too involved in it!!!
