i heard somewhere that there's like 45 minutes they cut out but it's not on the dvd

John Hughes has the only copy of the full movie. The deleted scenes aren't that good and most of them are gross or creepy.

There is a DVD out with the edited scenes on it. You much have perchased the original release. Go on Amazon.com. They have the special edtion DVD.

It should be on the DVD. Look for one that's says special edition.

You should look up for an Special / Director's Cut / Anniversary edition and rent it (or buy it if you reallly really like it)
