anyone else think australia is gonna go places in the near future. i think they showed everybody just how good they can play when they lost 1-0 to Italy in the final seconds of the game by shear luck (and a bad ref).

Of course we are. But we must be realistic. We are in a building stage so we must not expect to always win or put too much pressure on the boys. We are losing experienced player from this team who have taken the side to the achievements they reached and also a great coach who had a fantastic rapport with the team and supporters. Our job now is to support them however we have to, to see them improve and have further successes. The better their competition, the more they will learn and grow. The Asia Cup is a very good beginning as they will face harder and more experienced competition than they did in Oceania. Aren't you excited, I am , to think now that we have a good and bright future in football to look forward to. Like the old saying goes it may not happen overnight, but one day it will happen. I wish them all the luck in the world for the Aug Asia Cup game in Sydney. I know we will be there to support them.

It depends on the level of football. An NFL team can have a maximum of 53 players, a college football program can have a maximum of 105 players, a high school varsity football team usually has between 60-80 players, and a high school junior varsity football team usually has between 30-50 players.

It'll be interesting to see them when they no longer have to play in Oceania, however, I do believe they'll dominate the AFC for years to come. They will not be one of the elite teams of the world, but they'll be fun to watch, and provide surprises here and there.

heck yeah!! they showed the world they got some awesome stuff! And I know they would've advanced further yet IF it had not been for that CROOKED ref!! that was a heartbreaker---but they've got alot of potential. the socceroos are giving people something to talk about!

I personally put AUSTRALIA above italy in the rankings. The result of the match is actually the result of a manipulation and not of luck!
