Shows like Big Brother, I'm a Celebrity get me out of here, Stars in their Eyes and not forgetting them cooking, dancing, ice skating, horse jumping etc. Apart from one or two known faces the usual questions in our house is "Who is that and what are they "famous" for?

I am with you buddy. They have taken this whole reality television thing too far. Are these losers so desperate and broke that they have to resort to these measures. I feel embarrassed for them. I really do. I couldn't believe it when I saw Jerry Rice, a potential hall of fame reciever dancing like a little wuss on national television. Sometimes it makes me just want to throw my television out the window. However, if I did that I would have to probably star in a Reality TV show to afford another one.

Yes: I am absolutely fed up with half cooked punters imagining they are stars and celebrities (for what I am not sure)!

I'm not against a person being famous for doing well in a particular craft and this is what they might be good at. However, today it's not enough to want to be good at something and be the best they can be at that thing... no....the goal of many young people today is just to become famous...period! They're not sure what they want to become famous for!!! It's just attention seeking and I can't stand it!

I'm just sick of "reality shows" period. I think they do a disservice to the American public and are even damaging to the psyche. The teach people to be materialistic and shallow, elevating artificial differences as a means for excluding people. It's just like the editorial games! Thumbs up thumbs down! It doesn't teach people to work together, only to be shallow and petty!

It wouldn't be so bad if you actually knew who these "celebrities" were. It's pretty bad when they have to announce that you're famous.
