Amen. but let us remember that the Jews rejected Jesus 2000 years ago and are still doing so today. To kill several hundred civilians including children as a response to a few abducted soldiers is not Jesus' way.

I pray the George W. Bush. in his support for Israel,will not lead or allow the world into a total world conflict

Lord, Jesus Christ,

I come beforeYou in prayer
asking that, in this troubled world,
You will bring peace
to those who are suffering
in many forms and in many ways.

Keep us safe, Lord, I implore You,
from every manner of violence.
May we all live in peace with one another.
free from prejudice and in justice;
showing tolerance and understanding.

Make nations take away the fear of war,
Remove terror from our sight
Let us give food to those who are hungry
and grant comfort to the oppressed;
may Your kingdom reign on all the earth.
Amen

...but Christianity has never brought peace to ANY country.

Persecution, torture, bucthery, bigotry...yes.
Peace...no.

Why do fundamentalist Christians have such a terrible time opening a history book?

Nuke the Middle East until it glows. That is the only way that peace will be in that region.

All sides in this argument needs to understand that the phrase "Thou shalt not kill" does not have a footnote.
