Actually, it is normal that you switch back and forth between nostrils over the course of the day (and night), with the change occurring every one to four hours. This effect is exaggerated when you have a stuffy nose (and you feel like first one side is stuffed then the other). You can read more about the nasal cycle at the link below. (If you do not have a cold, air will pass through both nostrils, but less air will pass through the temporarily swollen nostril.)

Absolutely not. I breathe naturally out of both nostrils, only when my nose is stuffed up will I breathe through only one maybe.

Last I checked I was breathing out of two. The only time it maybe one, is if my nose is stuffed up.
