Is religious belief the problem, or does it hold the solution? Is one religious fanatic any different than another? Is fundamentalist religious beliefs on a collision course with destiny to blow up civilization as we know it? And for what?!? For dogmatic, superstitious religious beliefs? For patriotism? How far are we willing to go to be right? Are we willing to defend Israel's rght to be wrong? Israel or IS REAL? Who cares enough to die for their little plot of ground? Is George Bush our friend or our enemy? Is he the enemy of civilization or is he the savior?

I do not think there will be nukes flying any time soon. Things flare up and fizzle out there all the time. Sparks will fly, but no nukes.

Israel has a great army. If Hezbollah is willing to confront them, it must be that they (Hezbollah) has a lot of armaments or possibly nuke heads. In this case, this is World War I I I, no doubt.

Usually, when there are problems in the Middle East, the U.S. lets Israel show it's force. Once Israel has landed a few more than the enemy, the U.S. usually tells them to stop until it starts again, like a vicious circle.

I don't see "nukes flying" in the middle east any time soon, actually. There are only very few nations in the middle east that have access to nuclear weapons, and their relations with one another seem relatively stable. Despite the rampant media speculation, it's absurd to believe that Israel is going to be dropping WMDs on Syria.

I think it is a definite possibility. There are too many loose canons with nukes. Israel has reached the breaking point and they are just not going to put up with these terrorist attacks anymore. The other nations sympathetic to the Palestinian cause may very well use their arsenal against Israel.

R M,
Years, if ever. They haven't finished taking all the profits from the oil over there. Also, Iran is doing a lot of posturing to get things it wants, same with North Korea. It isn't easy to make effective, reliable nuclear weapons, but saying you have them gets you a lot of attention in the press, and makes a nice bargaining chip when you are at the table with the Big Boys. It also makes great propaganda for the Big Boys, to help keep their citizens in a perpetual state of fear. It makes it easier to take away our rapidly disappearing freedoms. With no more Soviet "evil empire", we had to come up with a new threat.

The contenders on both sides, will choose a war without nuclear arms. Except, perhaps, N Korea.
