has anyone ever asked you if your expecting when your not?
almost everytime i go to a store infact today a man asked me if im exspecting and gave me his church card and said if i need any help stop by,
its so embaressing , does this happen to you?
im 19 yrs old and this has been happening for the past year, yes my stomach is big, all i eat is fast foods, and i know i need to start exercising, but evertime this happens to me i feel so bad
io havent even had a baby before but i was pregnant for a 6 weeks and had a miscariage but still i dont think that should make me look fat

I've had someone ask me once before, a couple of years ago. I'm by no means skinny, but I don't think I looked like I was pregnant. I work for Dept. of Children's Services and was taking a baby for a visit with his mom when someone asked me if I was pregnant. When I said "no," the lady said she was asking because of the way I was interacting with the baby (maybe because other DCS employees didn't pay as close attention to the kids they're with?). She looked very apologetic when I said I wasn't, but I still couldn't believe she had asked and immediately asked a friend who I am very close to and who doesn't just tell me what I want to hear (and vice versa) and she said that I by no means look pregnant. So, I'm not sure if it she asked just because of the way I was interacting with the baby or if it was what I had on or if I did look big. All I know is that I do NOT ask women if they are pregnant or ask when they're due if I don't know for SURE that they are pregnant because I know how it felt when someone asked me.

I am not skinny but not super huge and twice in the same day 2 people at my work asked me if I was expecting..the thing that is bad for me is I have had 2 miscarriages and that makes me feel doubly worse because I wish i was...However i never dwell on the fact. i just smile and say yep some day but right now thats all me! Usually the other person is way more embarrassed than you are for even asking....

I was asked twice. Once I was just put on the pill and gained weight in the lower stomach. I was in 10Th grade though. So it was a bit embarrassing. The other time, I had just given birth to my daughter and it was my first time out of the house. I had her in her carrier and put her down. I was still wearing a maternity top because it wasn't even 3 weeks after she was born. The waitress at the restaurant I was at said,"Oh when are you due?" I looked at my daughter and then looked at her and said,"I'm not, I just gave birth!"

That happens to me alot. When we had a prayer for my family at church (my husband is currently deployed), This elderly lady pats my stomach and goes Oh, are we expecting? I was mortified.. No I'm not pregnant yet. And my stomach is flat. I don't know why people say that to me. They tell me I have that look?? What look??

well, how big are you? you gotta have a mega belly to have it mistaken for a pregnant woman, a pregnant woman whose pregnancy is the first one she won't show until about 4 or 5 months. I am 11 weeks pregnant and no belly yet, none at all, my weist got thicker but no belly yet, i would suggest you to exercise it is a shame that you are too young and too fat.

i am cubby too and it happened when i was shopping for my wedding ring to match my engagement ring!!!
i just said "i'm not pregnant" and walked out.
cubby or not losing weight is a choice, if you aren't ready - then just ignore the comments and walk away.
