I am short (5 ft. 2 in) and thin (100 lbs, 27 in. waist) and I buy clothes at the kids or pre-teens section but sometimes they are short on the shirt length. I have tried having my clothes tailored by a designer but it's expensive. are there any online store for short men? do you have any tips on how to dress myself up?

I'm right there with you. I'm 5'4" and 105 and a guy. Believe me I know how frustrating it is.
Just beware of buying things online. You should always try things on, even if it's your size. H&M usually has small of extra small for men. Plus, it's not very expensive.
Since we're so short, you should avoid anything that's baggy as it will only make you look shorter.
Never ever cuff your pants on the outside, because if will cut the line of the leg and make you look shorter.
Go for monochromatic (same-colored) outfits.
Vertical stripes (on shirts or pants) elongate the body.
V-necks are very flattering and elongate the neck since you most likely don't have a long neck.
Go for boxier jackets as they give the appearance of broad shoulders and a narrow waist.

I've a relative like that and he always looks sharp. He shops clearance sales at large department stores. He always finds clothes that few people can fit into like 14 1/2 inch neck. A larger knot in the tie makes it look great and he often wears vests.
