Because it seems like a stupid movie and it's on Disney channel. And we all know how great original Disney channel movies are (by the way this is sarcasm). And why is it limited to boys? I'm a girl and I hate High School Musical and I know I'm not the only one.

I don't think it's just boys: I don't like it that much either. No offense. I think the main character who was in the musical and on the B-ball team is pretty cute, though!! lol

Most guys hate high school musical cause:
1. Most guys hate musicals.
2. All the girls love the main dude and guys don't like actors that girls think are hot ex. Orlando Bloom, Jesse McCartny
3. Guys who do like it won't admit it.

Probably because it is a movie that was made for a younger audience and maybe they just say they don't like it so nobody will think that they are childish.
Who knows, all I know is that it was one of Disney Channel's most Successful movies.

I have actually noticed that alot of guys actually watch it and like it, but they just don't want anyone to know because they would be embarrassed or something. Girls are more willing to say what they like and how they feel but guys are too afraid of being embarrassed to say that they like it. Other guys just don't give the movie a chance and they don't even watch it. And some guys are just jeasous of how HOTT ZAC EFRON IS!!!!

Cause it's a musical. I personally like it. I'm a 14 year old girl, though. Maybe they secretly like it at heart. They just think it's gay for guys to like it.

Well different people like different things.. and it is seen as a sorta girly movie, what with singing and dancing so that may be why - although I do like it, you have to admit it's a bit cheesy isn't it, so that may be why as well.

Guys hate any movie where charecters sing. NO ONE SINGS IN REAL LIFE LIKE THAT! AND THE DANCING! NO GROUP OF KIDS WOULD EVER DO THAT!
