Canada & the Canadians are peaceful and sophisticated people. I really cannot understand why most of the answers have shifted to insulting the Canadians - I wonder how these would respond if those killed by Israel were Americans? Would there still be unconditional support fro Israel?

Well I guess if they were Americans it wouldn't really matter, because no action was taken when the Israeli's murdered Rachel Corrie in cold blood!

As for your question, Israel did not target these Canadians specifically and they have not launched a war against Canada - yet - but with the same logic - Canada would have right to defend itself - or would label them as "terrorists" as well since that right is only reserved fopr Israel and one else does not have the same right!

Nothing. They have a right to protect themselves. Its a wrong place wrong time. Anyways..... Anybody can be a Canadian. What are they doing there? Are they working with the enemy? War is such a tough thing. Israel has been taking shot for years and what do you want them to do? Do you want them to have children and there busses bombed? You must look at the big picture. They are handeling issues that we can't because our hands are tied. I am not pro-israel but I am against terrorist organization. I think they are just helping us all out by eliminating them. There fighter pilots have over 98% accuracy. They know where they are bombing. That is pretty good considering everybody else is about 50% and below.

As a American Jew, I am very sorry to hear of the death of the Canadians. It is a tragedy when innocent people die.

Israel is in a bad situation. Its not just about the Israeli Soldiers. Hezbollah and Hamas have been provoking Israel for years. Israel entered Lebannon do prevent the bomb of its citizens by Hezbollah and Lebanese/ Syrian forces...and occupied S. Lebannon for a time...and Israel left under the agreement that Syria would leave Lebannon and that Hezbollah would be disbanded by the Lebanese governmnet. For years they have asked Lebannon to take control of its Southern Border so the two countries could live in peace...without terrorists threating Israeli citizens. Syria wants the Golan Heights (its a strategic land)...but ultimately, Syria, Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas all have the same goal. The elimination of Israel...to drive the "Jews to the Sea". Its a stated goal...has been part of Hamas and Hezbollah's core goals..not an ancillary one. Its the largest reason for the existence of the organizations.

Israel has the right to protect its citizens. Lebannon is helping Terrorists create chaos in the Middle East by allowing them to act from their soil. I regret that Lebanese people are being hurt by the alliance of 1/3 of the Lebanese government and the cowardice of the the rest.

Please accept my condolences to the Canadians.
I hope that Israel will focus on targeting Hezbollah soldiers and known supporters...and I also hope that Syria and Iran will be held accountable for their actions...providing weapons to these evil forces out to create instability.

If the U.S. allowed an army to operate and terrorize Canadian citizens, with bombs, suicide bombers and a stated declaration that they were out to destroy Canada, wouldn't you expect the U.S. to crack down on these people and take them out...
IF Lebanon doesn't have the desire or will or capability to take out Hezbollah, then they are not a sovreign nation...but a puppet of Hezbollah, (Syria and Iran who arm and support Hezbollah.)

Oh yes the whole thing is now revealed! Wow this whole bombing thing has to do with Israel wanting to kill Canadians! What a thing not to know!!! Unfortunately the Canadians were in the wrong place at the wrong time. We feel for there families and loved ones. There are Americans there on both sides of that border too. War is hell for all of us. Israel is right to do what they need to do. No one steps on them,

dont just bomb em'! u should give them a warning and then see wat happens but don't just go out and bomb. plus I'm sure they all dont need killed! Bombing is not the solution. Wat about the 2 day old over there who has nothing to do with it and neither does his/her parents! or the normal day people over there who doesn't want this to happen but the JERKS over there keep doing so anyway. if you're dad or brothere killed some guy should any1 with his blood be beaten' then killed or lined up and shot? NO! Just catch the JERKS who did it and leave the others alone. For one thing if you just bomb the hole thing my sister and her husban and two kids who are under 4 years each would al die cause she's over there on a mission trip for the next 5 years! SO bombing isn't the answer even if she wasn't over there.

Good luck, Canada wouldn't stand a chance against Israel. Israel could wipe out the middle east all by itself, if it so chose to.

Not justifying the deaths of your fellow Canadians, just telling the truth of the matter.

Demand accountability. If one were to follow you line of logic, then America should be bombed for the solders raping and killing an Iraqi girl and her family. One should always be vigilant of those who seeks to make situations worse.
