Keep your kitchen! I think its cool, bet its pretty. Who cares what mom in law thinks, hell, invite her to dinner just to make her have to sit in the middle of it!

thats funny - I don't have a pink kitchen, but I do have pink hair.
Mother-in-laws can be pretty bad. They are used to being the number one lady in thier son's life until you came along. Keep in mind that she is from a different time and place. Her tastes are relevent to her age (in most cases). So, anything that differs from that is going to be a bit strange to her. I suggest doing the living room in pokadots and watch her gasp - that would be a kick.
BTW, I did my living room walls with a dark red and black color wash - people had a hard time with it, but I LOVE it and most who give it a chance love it too.
Can I see the pink kitchen?? wowjuliette@yahoo.com

I don't have a pink kitchen, but I think that would be really pretty! I love pink as well. My husband would only let me make one room pink in our house so I picked the bathroom. She may have been kidding or she may have been just trying to hurt you. Just try and not let her do that to you. Especailly if you and your husband like it. Who cares what anyone else's thinks

I figure that it was an insult, but then again, she may have been just joking around. As long as you and your husband like it, who cares what your mother-in-law thinks (as long as she doesn't own the house.)

well im only 14 but im majoring in phsycology so let me give it a shot - well i wouldn't exactly make your home look like ''Barbie's Dream House'' unless you both like it just tell your mother in law that your husband likes what you did and has no problem with it so you don't exactly require her opinion -- the future psych
