i need to find out how i can get my rights retsored. I was convicted of a felony twenty plus years ago. Served my probation time and have a clean record ever since. What can i do?

Contact a lawyer for help in your state or country. That would be the best course of action, especially if the charge was a misdemeanor. A felony like murder will (and shouldn't) be expunged from the records.

I agree with sacredmud -- you'll need expert legal help on this one from a defense attorney or even better, a lawyer who specializes in the type of cases that you were convicted of. If it's even possible to do anything about it, it will probably cost you for the lawyer's time & effort, but it may end up being worth it -- that's something you'll have to decide after talking to a lawyer.

I've known other people who were haunted by that one stupid thing they did oh-so long ago & missed a lot of opportunities in life because of it (i.e. jobs that wouldn't hire anyone with a felony on their record). I wish you the best of luck!
