This is for anyone around my age (40-50) and grew up in North Central Illinois or eastern Iowa and watched the Quad City TV stations. Do you remember after-school cartoons? On the Cartoon Showboat hosted by Captain Ernie? If so, what are some of the cartoons you remember from that show?

Hmm I grew up in Central-Central Illinois, used to watch cartoons on WCIA in Champaign. Cartoon show hosted by Commodore Spintop....Before they replaced the cartoons with "the Early Show" which showed old movies.
